SEVERAL HIP RESEARCHERS AWARDED SUPERCOMPUTING RESOURCES
David Weir and his group was awarded 47 million core hours on the supercomputer Hawk in Germany under the PRACE Project Access – Call 20:

Survey for researchers about the digital resources and services of the National Library
Have you ever used the digital resource materials of the National Library of Finland or wondered how to use them?
If yes, now is the chance to take part in a survey to develop researcher service concept called Mining Lab (Louhos).

The Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation is a Finnish non-profit organization that supports hundreds of projects in the areas of research, art and societal activities every year. Grants for science are primarily awarded for doctoral studies, post-doctoral research, homing-grant for independent research after post-doctoral research and research groups.
Application period starts 3.5 and application deadline is 31.5.

Tiedonjulkistamisen neuvottelukunta myöntää tiedonjulkistamisen kohdeapurahoja yksityisille henkilöille tai työryhmien jäsenille (ei yhteisöille tai yhdistyksille) tiedonjulkistamista palvelevan työsuunnitelman toteuttamiseen lähinnä luovan työn korvauksina. Myönnetyllä apurahalla tuetaan monipuolista, monikanavaista ja uudistuvaa tietokirjoittamista ja tiedonjulkistamista.
Hakuaika on 01.05.2020 – 29.05.2020.
(In Finnish) Osk. Huttusen säätiön apurahat tieteellisiin jatko-opintoihin ulkomailla / Apurahat väitöskirjatyöhön
Jatko-opiskeluapurahat on tarkoitettu ylemmän yliopistotutkinnon suorittaneille suomalaisille, joiden ikä hakuajan päättyessä on enintään 26 vuotta. Tohtoriopintojen suorituspaikkana etusijalla ovat Britannian vanhimmat yliopistot, joskin muukin ulkomainen yliopisto tai tutkimuskeskus tulee kysymykseen, jos se on tutkimus- ja opintosuunnitelman kannalta perusteltua. Apuraha on kaksivuotinen, ja sen maksaminen aloitetaan vuonna 2021.
Hakuaika on 15.5. – 15.6.2020.

Post doc -apuraha on tarkoitettu tohtorin tutkinnon suorittaneiden, enintään 35 vuotta täyttäneiden päärahoituslähteeksi (henkilökohtainen apuraha sekä matkakulut) keskimäärin vuoden mittaisessa työskentelyssä ulkomaisessa yliopistossa tai tutkimuslaitoksessa.
