Kumpula Physics Colloquium online, Friday 24.04.2020
The first online Kumpula Physics Colloquium will take place on Friday 24.04.2020 at 14:15 on the following University Zoom meeting https://helsinki.zoom.us/j/67285788599. Our speaker is Hanna Vehkamäki, who is Professor in Computational Aerosol Physics here in Helsinki. Hanna will tell us about aerosol particles in the atmosphere, and her work on understanding their formation, an important topic for climate modelling and an interesting area of physics. The title of her talk is “Molecular cluster formation in the atmosphere”. The talk will last about 30 minutes, after which there will be time for questions. Survey for researchers about the digital resources and services of the National Library
Have you ever used the digital resource materials of the National Library of Finland or wondered how to use them?
If yes, now is the chance to take part in a survey to develop researcher service concept called Mining Lab (Louhos).
The survey has 20 questions and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. None of the questions are obligatory. The survey is open until 15th May 2020. You can find the survey here: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/B0DC00FCDDFB44F4

Akademien utdelar stipendier för verksamhet vars syfte sammanfaller med Akademiens. Stipendier kan beviljas enskild sökande med avlagd akademisk slutexamen. Stipendier kan sökas kontinuerligt under året och beslut görs kvartalsvis.
Otto A. Malm Foundation
In 2020, a total sum of 800 000 euros will be granted for scientific research. Applicants should have at least a Master’s degree or other academic degree on a corresponding level.
The application period begins on 1st April and ends 30th April, 2020.
