Our speaker is Karl Ziemelis, who is Physical Sciences Editor of Nature. The title of his talk is “Writing for Impact“. Karl will talk about what makes a great paper and give us some tricks on writing for high-impact journals. The talk will last about 30 minutes, after which there will be time for questions.

Cosmic-ray tomography for scanning of trucks and shipping containers within the project SilentBorder
As a member of the H2020 funded SilentBorder project, the institute will contribute to the development of a tomographic scanning technology for trucks and sea containers based on the natural flux of highly energetic atmospheric muons, produced as a result of the interaction of cosmic radiation with the air molecules.
