X-ray light from synchrotrons has provided great advances in science during the last 20 years. Now, similar progress can be made at home laboratories using recently developed compact light sources. We will arrange a workshop in Helsinki to highlight the possibilities and to discuss how such light sources could benefit the Finnish scientific community. The dates for this two day event are the 8th and 9th of November 2018. Please mark down these dates and follow the web page for updates and registration.

OPEN POSITIONS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI

UNIVERSITY LECTURER IN THEORETICAL PARTICLE PHYSICS.
The position will be based in the Particle Physics and Astrophysics Division of the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Science at the University of Helsinki and it will be filled permanently starting from 1.3.2019 or later by agreement.

PROFESSOR OR ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
The field of the position is in gravitational wave cosmology, and it will be based in the Particle Physics and Astrophysics Division of the Department. The selected person will also get a startup package of about 150 000 EUR/year for the first three years.

Valmennus tarjoaa tavoitejohtamisen työkaluja ja antaa valmiuksia toimia projektin omistajana ja ohjausryhmän jäsenenä. Valmennus lisää ymmärrystä myös Helsingin yliopiston projektijohtamisen mallista. Valmennuksen opit viedään suoraan käytäntöön hyödyntämällä osallistujilta nousseita yliopiston esimerkkiprojekteja.
Kolme keskenään samansisältöistä valmennusta toteutetaan Keskustakampuksella.
