GENEVA, September 18 – The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the UN body for assessing the science related to climate change, is calling for nominations of authors for the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6).

Hundreds of experts around the world in the different areas volunteer their time and expertise to produce the reports of the IPCC. Author teams aim to reflect a range of scientific, technical and socio-economic views and backgrounds.

The IPCC includes three working groups: Working Group I assesses the physical science basis of climate change; Working Group II is responsible for impacts, adaptation and vulnerability; and Working Group III assesses the mitigation of climate change.

NOKIA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP AND JORMA OLLILA GRANT APPLICATION CALLS

Nokia Foundation has calls open for applications for Nokia Scholarships, Jorma Ollila grants, and Nokia Visiting Professor grants.
Deadline: 25 September, 2017.

Nokia Scholarship is intended to encourage efficient, fast-progressing postgraduate studies. The scholarship can be granted for post-graduate studies in a Finnish university, or to a Finnish applicant for post-graduate studies abroad.
Jorma Ollila Grant is targeted towards recently graduated doctors to further develop their research career. Personal grants are awarded for gaining international experience for a period of 1-3 years.
Nokia Visiting Professor Grant can be applied throughout the year, with the next deadline being also on September 25.
